Next Door
The paintings,
taken somewhere
they can't go.
Every one of these started on a canvas of mine. My colour, my impasto, my handwriting — put through every tool I could get my hands on, generative models included, until something came back that still sounded like me. Then I upscaled it, corrected it by hand, and threw away nine out of ten.
I'm not coy about the process. The paintings underneath are mine, the thousand decisions are mine, and the ones that weren't good enough aren't on this page. What's still on canvas lives under Works. This is the room next door — which is where the name came from.
Available as archival prints, and for licensing. Sizes and pricing on request.
The Long View
One animal, one hill, and a great deal of empty sky. The whole picture is about the part she already climbed.
Inquire about a printBlonde, Turning
She turns like she heard her name and hasn't decided yet whether to answer.
Inquire about a printLoud Room
She's built out of six colours that shouldn't agree, and one gold eye that does the deciding.
Inquire about a printBlue Ribbon
A blue stroke laid straight across her eyes. She doesn't look bothered by it, which is the point.
Inquire about a printCreature, Again
The same animal from the canvas, redrawn until the blue got deeper and the paint got thicker than my arm could manage.
Inquire about a printThe Clearing
Birches, autumn, and something rising off the water that I've decided not to name.
Inquire about a printSmall Red Emperor
Entirely round, entirely serious about it.
Inquire about a printThree Wishes
Three tall panels that hang as one. Read left to right, or don't — they were made in the other order anyway.
Inquire about a printHow this works.
Every piece here exists at high resolution — most of them large enough to print at a metre and keep the texture. Tell me the size and the wall and I'll come back with a price, a paper, and a timeline.
If you want one of these translated back onto canvas by hand, that's a commission — those are over here.
